I didn’t realise how iconic you are…
Last week I talked to The Business Bishop and had a Mordecai Moment. (My favourite thing is when my faith and work meet, so this was just brilliant).
We talked about the business. I shared about the incredible Women of God around the world that I get to interact with and serve everyday and he showed me a different perspective.
I’m always so focused on you; the Woman of God, serving you, dressing you, getting everything just right for you, so you’re happy and comfortable. As we spoke, it was as if he took my shoulders – because I was facing and focused on you in my conversation – and turned me around and I suddenly saw all the faces, looking at you!
I caught a glimpse of the variety of eyes and perspectives you face and address. For so many women, you are their style icon, you are their example of how to conduct themselves as a Woman of God.
I was concerned about using the word icon until I looked it up:
Iconic = someone that is a representation of something/someone else. For example the Eiffel Tower is an iconic symbol of Paris. You, Woman of God are an iconic symbol and representation of Christ.
This new perspective has really got me thinking about how I can serve you better. (Even, possibly, launching a Collarless Line for your staff teams and praise teams, giving a consistent look for conferences and events. I would love your thoughts on this).
As I design, I’m thinking about how you’re being perceived and the weight of that responsibility. I am praying your strength and that God would give you boldness and total Godfidence to walk in all He has called you to be!
Here to serve you, it’s my honour,
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness
